A team-player approach to choral and orchestral leadership.

Chuck's "people over process" attitude is a refreshing breath of fresh air on the conductor's podium. Leading both choral and instrumental groups with a caring heart, a firm grip on the baton, and a steady beat, Chuck reminds musicians of the joy that initially brought them to music, while helping them attain new heights of excellence. Music and musicians are supported by an approach that never neglects the humans at the heart of the ensemble.

Chuck’s scholarly work, completed for his Master of Music, focuses on understanding the aging voice and the role of music in preserving quality of life and forestalling cognitive decline in older populations.
