A lifelong passion for using music to bring people to God.

For over 20 years, Chuck's church service has been guided by his passion for life and his irrepressible, contagious belief that everyone can find expression through music. His music ministry centers on individuals, fostering each person's authentic relationship with God through the shared pursuit of music. Music is a powerful tool for expressing the breadth of lived experience; Chuck regards all musical ensembles, no matter how humble, as intimate fellowship communities where individuals worship God, experience their deepest truths, and connect with one another. Chuck's commitment to and desire to strengthen the church choral community underpins his ongoing research into the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical impacts of choral participation on aging parishioners.

In 2019, Chuck was able to expand his ministerial practice by becoming a licensed pastor in the United Methodist Church and serving as Assistant Pastor at Biltmore United Methodist Church in Asheville, NC.
